Duties:
  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with Renaissance brand standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines.
  • Assist with menu development by providing feedback on execution, seasonal ingredients, and local influences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with all food safety and health regulations.
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and sanitation procedures are consistently followed.
  • Work collaboratively with culinary and front of house teams to ensure timely and accurate service during high volume periods.
  • Support banquet and catering operations by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Demonstrate strong knife skills, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and precise portioning.
  • Uphold Renaissance standards by contributing to a culture of excellence, creativity, and guest satisfaction.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel, upscale, or high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Ability to execute meal preparation efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Proficient knife skills and a solid understanding of various cooking techniques.
  • Culinary background demonstrating versatility across multiple kitchen stations.
  • Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and current culinary trends.
  • Experience with banquet or large-scale food production is a plus.
  • A passion for hospitality, teamwork, and delivering memorable guest experiences.
